Deux ans après la Captur, Renault lance un nouveau défi au secteur automobile en présentant le Kadjar. Ce SUV compact commercialisé en juin 2015 a de nombreuses similitudes avec le Nissan Qashqai. Si son style athlétique se rapproche du modèle japonais, le Kadjar se distingue par un équipement et une technologie embarquée de meilleure facture. Look extérieur du Kadjar

Silhouette trapue, épaules musclées, flancs sculptés, le Renault Kadjar est un modèle de baroudeur pour arpenter la jungle urbaine comme les chemins de campagne. Son élégante calandre affiche fièrement l’énorme losange de la marque qui se prolonge en V jusqu’au pare-chocs avant, pour un effet stylé des plus harmonieux. Des phares effilés accentuent la fluidité de ses lignes. À l’arrière, les feux sont placés assez haut, encadrant un hayon plat, en totale symbiose avec le style du designer en chef de Renault, Laurens van den Acker.

Le Kadjar se démarque par son habitacle spacieux avec une bonne qualité de vie à bord pour les places arrière. Le design intérieur est sobre mais classieux avec un tableau de bord au toucher particulièrement souple. Une réelle attention a été portée au confort des passagers : sièges enveloppants ornés de doubles surpiqûres et toit vitré panoramique qui permet de profiter du soleil. L’ergonomie a également été soigneusement étudiée. La parfaite finition du levier de vitesse et des compteurs bordés de chrome traduisent une volonté de minutie dans la conception. Aucun détail n’est négligé ou laissé au hasard.

Kadjar : les équipements

Grâce au système multimédia R-Link 2, le conducteur peut contrôler sa voiture d’une simple caresse des doigts. Le tableau de commande est doté d’un écran de 7 pouces qui s’utilise comme une tablette tactile. D’un simple glissement de doigt, il est possible d’effectuer différents réglages et d’activer une aide à la conduite. On a ainsi accès à un système de navigation avec cartographie TomTom, à la téléphonie mains libres via Bluetooth et à diverses options multimédia pour regarder une vidéo ou lire de la musique.

Motorisation

Le Kadjar possède trois motorisations. Le bloc essence 1.2 Tce de 130 ch est doté de deux moteurs diesel 1.6 dCi 130 ch et 1.5 dCi 110 ch. Cette dernière motorisation est associée à un boîte à double embrayage EDC. La version 1.6 DCi est la seule à être disponible en 2 ou 4 roues motrices. Dans un souci de performance, Renault intègre les dernières technologies comme le système Stop & Start permettant de récupérer l’énergie du freinage, ainsi qu’un innovant système d’injection.

Que vaut le Kadjar en occasion

Les premiers modèles arrivent sur le marché de l’occasion. La décote moyenne se situe aux alentours des 15% ce qui situe le Kadjar dans les courbes habituelles pour un modèle commercialisé il y a moins de 10 mois. La meilleure affaire reste le bloc 1.6 dCi 130ch qui peut se négocier jusqu’à -25% du prix catalogue.

Question fiabilité, il est trop tôt pour tirer un bilan complet. Quelques petits soucis électroniques sont quand même à signaler : bugs du système R-Link, connexion Bluetooth aléatoire, bip du radar de recul qui se déclenche tout seul. Renault a déjà mis à disposition des mises à jour du système pour résoudre ses problèmes.

Une chose est sûre, le Kadjar est un modèle qui plait. Il y a fort à parier qu’il devrait rencontrer le même succès en occasion que sur le marché du neuf.
